Dues
If you have not renewed your membership for 2009-2010, please send your dues to Kathy Lawrence, 4626 Twilight St. SE, Rochester, 55904. Our Programs VP's have a wonderful slate of topics and presenters planned for us this year. Don't miss out! Remember, part of your Association dues are now tax deductible ($46).
Dues are $74.00 (because the national dues increased by $2.00) of which $49 is sent to the National Association, $9 is sent to the State, and $20 remain for use by the Rochester Branch. If you are 70 years of age or older and have been a member for 5 years or more, you do not have to pay the local dues; however, the branch welcomes any contribution you care to make to support the Highlights monthly bulletin and the work of the branch. Student affiliate dues will be $29-30. If you wish, you may pay life membership dues to the Association, a one-time payment of $980 ($49 x 20). Paid life members are forever relieved of Association dues (and periodic increases), but must continue to pay branch and state dues.
Student Membership Dues: National dues are $17.00, state dues are $2.00, and branch dues are $10.00. Total dues for a student membership are $29.00.
Any member who has paid Association dues for 50 years can become an Honorary Life Member and pay no further dues. Please contact the membership treasurer if you feel you qualify.

Membership and Guest Policy
Persons eligible for AAUW must join in order to participate in the continuing activities of the organization. Prospective eligible members may attend up to two general meetings and visit any study group once before joining. Please contact anyone on the Membership Committee for more information.
